USA: The Great Humbug Adventure Receives Makeover
© Sally Dark Rides“The Great Humbug Adventure“ dark ride experience at Santa’s Village (Jefferson, New Hampshire), where Christmas lasts all year long, received a digital makeover right in time for the attraction’s 20th anniversary. In cooperation with Sally Dark Rides, the immersive attraction, which is based on Charles Dickens‘ “A Christmas Carol“, was overhauled. While waiting in the queueline, an animated “Ebenezer Scrooge“ explains how to use the special “Giggle Gadget“ to shoot at the Humbugs, which are wreaking havoc on Scrooge’s estate.
Riders are able to board one of the seven vehicles in a group of up to four persons (max. capacity 500 pph), which transports them through 14 different scenes in which a total of 60 Humbug targets were implemented. “With over 40 animatronic figures, state-of-the-art UV lighting and animated scene lighting, interactive targets, and much more, The Great Humbug Adventure is sure to put anyone in the Christmas spirit, even old Scrooge himself,” says Lauren Weaver of Sally Dark Rides with a wink.
