Netherlands: Tim Golstein to Become New Director at Avonturenpark Hellendoorn

With effect from 1st of May 2021, Tim Golstein (photo) will take over as new Director of Avonturenpark Hellendoorn. He succeeds Lyan van den Bosch, who, after almost nine years at the helm of the Dutch amusement park, is now taking on a new challenge as Deputy Director of Operations within the Looping Group, to which the park belongs. This brings a familiar face to the top management of the park, as Golstein has been with the park for a number of years already, most recently as Operations Manager. Tim Golstein says he is pleased with the appointment and looks to the future with confidence:

“Despite the corona crisis, we have a solid base and the park is ready for the future. We have not rested on our laurels this winter and will introduce two new attractions, Balagos and Oldtimer. We hope to be able to open our gates again soon to do what we love best: to give our guests an unforgettable day in a world full of adventure!” “Balagos” is the Vekoma rollercoaster that has been existing in the park for many years, formerly known as “Tornado”, which was overhauled and refurbished last winter season and equipped with a new train from Sunkid-Heege with lap bars. Likewise, the family attraction “Oldtimer” underwent a “freshening up” for the upcoming season.

The re-opening of the park is scheduled for 10th April, but as part of a pilot project, only guests tested negative for Covid-19 will be admitted. In addition to Avonturenpark Hellendoorn, the French Looping Group currently operates 15 other regional leisure parks in Europe. (eap)
