"Kraftverket": Second Break Dance 5 Worldwide Opens at Liseberg

(eap) The Swedish amusement park Liseberg today opened its new ride “Kraftverket”, a Break Dance 5 attraction manufactured by Bremen-based Huss Park Attractions. Following the debut of “Laser Dance” at Vienna’s Prater (see EAP 6/2024), this marks the second installation worldwide of the further developed ride model.

Kraftverket is located in a prominent position within the iconic curve of the Dive Coaster “Valkyria”. “We’ve longed for this moment. We’ve been planning Kraftverket with its perfect location in the centre of Valkyria’s curve since 2016. It feels absolutely fantastic to finally open it,” says Liseberg CEO Andreas Andersen.

The new attraction combines the classic Break Dance ride experience with a redesigned look and updated technology. With a total investment of 70 million Swedish kronor (approximately six million euros), it is open to visitors aged ten and above with a minimum height of 135 centimetres. Children aged eight and above may ride when accompanied by an adult, provided they are at least 120 centimetres tall.

"Liseberg has a long tradition of building flat rides, but always adding an extra twist. Kraftverket combines a powerful ride with a story, decoration, music and lighting – all elevating the ride-experience to the next level," says Liseberg’s creative director David Schofield, Quarryfold Studios.
