“Kaheyo”: Berliner Present New Playground Equipment

(eap) With “Kaheyo”, a new piece of play equipment has entered the market, designed to create fresh play opportunities and experiences through its organic design concept and technical innovations. The new product has been developed by Berliner Seilfabrik, a Berlin-based company specialising in the design and construction of net play equipment.

At the heart of the new play structure is the “Berliner Masche” net system. According to the manufacturer, a specially developed flexible rope now makes it possible for Kaheyo to create curved net landscapes for the first time. High and low points ensure consistently high net tension and structural stability. Newly developed egg-shaped clamps with three connection points are used as connectors. These are intended to allow particularly variable rope angles while combining a delicate design with the high load-bearing capacity of the play and climbing structure. The system is complemented by spheres of different sizes that conceal the connecting elements and can be fitted to both straight and curved posts.

Kaheyo is available in three module sizes and can also be combined with other product ranges offered by the manufacturer. Additional equipment options include climbing ropes, hammocks and nest swings. The new play structure is scheduled to be presented to trade visitors for the first time at GaLaBau in Nuremberg, Germany, this September. At the international trade fair for gardening and landscaping, numerous other play equipment manufacturers will also showcase their latest developments and design concepts for all kinds of themed and non-themed play areas. ■
