(eap) One of the most popular experiences at Austria’s IMMERSIUM:Wien is back: The exhibition “Planet Wildlife – the immersive experience” is once again inviting animal, nature and adventure fans on a fascinating journey around the globe. Across more than 1,100 square meters and three floors, visitors can look forward to a combination of modern technology, engaging knowledge transfer and emotional storytelling.

The approximately 60-minute experience, which was realized in cooperation with ORF Universum and WWF, takes guests through some of the most impressive habitats on Earth and brings animals and nature to life in a new way. For its return, the exhibition has been extensively expanded. Visitors can look forward to new content as well as additional interactive experience, knowledge and hands-on stations.

At the heart of the experience is the main show “Planet Wildlife”, which is based on the award-winning nature documentaries of ORF Universum. Presented in 24K resolution and with 360-degree projection, the show immerses guests in the animal and plant world of the Earth – from the depths of the oceans to the most remote regions of our planet. The show is complemented by various interactive stations: With the help of AI technology, a virtual zoo was created where visitors can experience animals and interact with them. In addition, digital experience stations playfully convey interesting facts about biodiversity, habitats and ecological connections.

“The development of the immersive show ‘Planet Wildlife’ was a fantastic experience for us. We are delighted that our high-quality Universum productions provide one of the highlights of this exhibition,” explains Gernot Lercher, Head of the ORF Universum series and Program Director of ORF Wissen.

Markus Beyr, developer and CEO of IMMERSIUM, is also delighted about the return of the exhibition: “The enormous response from visitors has shown just how great the enthusiasm for the animal world is. With the return of ‘Planet Wildlife’ and many new attractions, we are once again creating an experience that uniquely combines knowledge, emotion and state-of-the-art technology.” ■
