“ShootingSTAR”: New High-Thrill Slide Opens at AquaMagis
(eap) With today’s opening of the new “ShootingSTAR” slide, AquaMagis in Plettenberg, Germany is adding a new spectacular feature to its outdoor offerings. According to the operator, the facility, which was developed by the Swiss company Klarer Freizeitanlagen, is currently the highest outdoor water slide in Germany.
With a starting height of over 22 meters and a gradient of 120 percent, the 77-meter-long slide is aimed at visitors aged 14 and over who are looking for a special thrill. “A special highlight is the transparent tube segment just before it goes down. Our guests get a short but fabulous view of the AquaMagis adventure pool and the wonderful Sauerland landscape in the surrounding area,” explains Marc Neul, Marketing and Sales Manager. The ride then descends at speeds of up to 40 km/h to the landing pool in the outdoor area of AquaMagis.
The operator emphasizes: “The ‘ShootingSTAR’ is not only a new attraction at AquaMagis, but also an architectural and technical statement that sets new standards in the water slide sector.” AquaMagis has already attracted attention in the past with unusual slide concepts – such as the world’s first standing slide, according to the operator.
“With the ShootingSTAR, we are fulfilling a long-cherished dream for ourselves and our guests. It is not only the highest outdoor water slide in Germany, but also a symbol of our ongoing innovation and enjoyment of the experience. Our aim was to create a slide experience that clearly stands out from the ordinary – and we have succeeded,” says Dr. Uwe Allmann, Managing Director of AquaMagis. ■
