“Vuela México Por El Mundo”: Flying Theater Opens at Aztlán Park

(eap) The new Parque Urbano Aztlán in Mexico City, located on the site of the former Feria de Chapultepec amusement park and launched in spring 2024, recently added the Suspended Coaster “Serpentikha (by Vekoma) as a new anchor attraction. Now, the park invites guests to experience another major highlight: the first Flying Theater in Mexico, as the park states, offering a simulated flight over some of the world’s most spectacular locations and landmarks.

The new family-friendly flying theater, titled “Vuela México Por El Mundo”, is based on a ride system developed by Brogent Technologies, a specialist for simulator attractions. Once guests are seated in their gondolas, the platform rotates 180 degrees into the large dome screen and the film begins. Synchronized movement of the ride system simulates flight, with dynamic 4D effects adding to the authenticity of the experience.

“We are proud to launch the first flying theater experience crafted for Latin America. The inauguration of ‘Vuela México Por El Mundo’ marks a significant milestone for cultural entertainment in the region,” said Sergio Haua, CEO of Aztlán Parque Urbano. “[…] Vuela México Por El Mundo is more than an attraction, it’s a journey that reflects our identity, blends innovation with storytelling and places Mexico City at the forefront of immersive, sustainable tourism.”

Chih-Hung Ouyang, Chairman of Brogent Technologies, added: “This is more than just an attraction, it’s a celebration of culture, innovation, and storytelling. We’re proud to partner with Aztlán Parque Urbano to bring our flying theater experience to Mexico City and be part of this visionary new park. It aligns perfectly with the park’s vision of sustainable, culturally rich entertainment and strengthens the city's role as a leading destination for global tourism and urban innovation.”

In addition to the new flying theater and Serpentikha, the park offers a wide range of family-friendly attractions, many of which were supplied by European manufacturers. These include an 85-meter-high Ferris wheel by Fabbri, two family coasters and other rides by SBF-Visa, several attractions from Zamperla, and a multi-level carousel by Bertazzon. ■
