Weber most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Palace Entertainment, where she was responsible for a portfolio of 22 parks across North America and Australia. Prior to that, she held several senior leadership positions at Six Flags Entertainment, including the role of Senior Vice President of Park Operations. In this position, she oversaw operations for 26 parks and, according to the company, was responsible for a USD 1.5 billion P&L as well as more than 50,000 employees within the company’s North American portfolio. During her time as park president of Six Flags Magic Mountain, Weber is said to have achieved eight consecutive record-breaking years, doubled profit margins to 50 per cent and introduced new initiatives to improve the guest experience as well as additional revenue models. Her career also includes leadership positions at Warner Bros. Consumer Products, where she was involved in global franchise development and the implementation of experiential rollouts.
In addition to her management experience, Weber was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) from 2022 to 2024 and is currently a board member of the IAAPA Foundation, which supports the further development of the attractions industry and the development of future talent. She is also a member of the advisory board of Pomvom, a digital media company that connects guests with images of themselves taken by cameras in parks or venues.

The appointment comes at a time when AREA15 is continuing its growth trajectory and is planning to open further attractions and experiences over the course of the year. These include Museum of Ice Cream as well as Burning Man’s Boeing 747, which will be used as a multi-purpose event and nightlife venue.
“Bonnie brings a distinctive ability to expand AREA15’s bold ideas into something that performs at a high level without losing what makes it special,” explains Winston Fisher, Chief Executive Officer, AREA15. “As we continue to grow and introduce new experiences and attractions, her leadership will help us stay inventive, competitive and firmly ahead of where this industry is going.”
“What drew me here is the opportunity to help shape AREA15’s next chapter – growing the business in a way that stays true to its creative spirit while continuing to surprise guests and raise the bar for what’s next,” says Weber. ■
