Austria: Beaver Castle Provides New Splashing Fun at Familypark

Located in the province of Burgenland, near of Lake Neusiedl, Familypark is one of Austria's most popular leisure attractions. Tomorrow – exactly three months after the start of this year’s season on 9 April – the “Beaver Castle”, a new major attraction that visitors are already looking forward to, will be officially inaugurated. With an investment volume of 9.5 million euros, a large flume ride by Intamin was built here on an area of around 4,600 square meters. The ride was partly built on the former area of the petting zoo and themed as a sawmill.

“With the extraordinary design of the Beaver Castle, we can offer our visitors a unique ride experience according to international standards. While the flume ride is, as always at Familypark, a family-friendly attraction, it will equally meet the demands of lovers of fast-paced rides,” Familypark Managing Director Filip de Witte was already pleased to announce in advance. During the ride in one of the tree trunk boats, the guests can watch amusing scenes with the funny beavers (designed by Heimotion) while having fun. As a highlight, they will be transported via lift up to a height of 17 meters, from where they can experience a fast drop and a giant splash.
