Kraftwerk Living Technologies, one of the leading suppliers in the field of audio-visual system integration with headquarters in the Austrian city of Wels, announced yesterday the appointment of industry veteran Kevin Murphy (photo) to its senior team. As Vice President of Strategic Planning, Murphy’s new responsibility aims at strengthening the team and Kraftwerk’s position in the international markets of entertainment, museums and brand centers and to help develop and implement a strategic plan for growth and continued quality.

Murphy adds his longstanding professional experience to the company, which he gained in several leading positions – among others, this includes the London design group Event Communications and audiovisual and technology provider Electrosonic Ltd. Furthermore, he worked at the Natural History Musem in London, with responsibility for the technology development team and is a founding member of the TEA (Themed Entertainment Association). “When the company behind the largest 4D theater in the world and some extremely high quality and complex audio-visual systems was looking to enhance its team, it was an opportunity I could not miss. I am very much looking forward to work with an extremely talented team of professionals in the field of systems engineering and complex projection solutions […],” commented Murphy on his appointment.

Manfred Meier, Managing Partner and CEO at Kraftwerk Living Technologies, is looking forward to the collaboration: “Kevin is a great addition to our team. We believe that he will not only bring experience and valuable insights to the table but also an important perspective from ‘outside’, while being an industry-insider. We have taken the decision to create this new position to push our future-orientated approach and to cultivate the market even more strongly and innovatively.” (eap)
