Austria: Swarovski Kristallwelten Opens “Beletage” for Culinary Highlights

This month, Austria’s Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) has opened the “Beletage” (Engl.: magnificent floor), a new location and additional floor that extends the existing Daniels Kristallwelten restaurant. With 120 seats, the Beletage can also be booked for group and corporate events.

The latest extension of the restaurant building features a simple exterior design, but is furnished in its 200-square meter interior with elegant furnishings and decoration elements for exclusive culinary experiences. The architectural concept was designed by the international architecture firm Snøhetta, headquartered in Oslo/Norway. “An exciting material mix of stone, wood, metal and glass with artful surfaces, combined with soft textiles in harmonious colors forms the ideal complement to the expressive architecture. In my opinion, this reflects the sophisticated Swarovski brand,” explains Carla Rumler, Cultural Director at Swarovski and curator of Swarovski Kristallwelten.

The new floor enables the restaurant team to respond even better to the culinary wishes of international travel groups in the future. The preparation of dishes will be based on seasonal and regional products, while the in-house patisserie also fulfills sweet wishes – from pralines to multi-storey cream cakes.
