Bartholet Brings Porsche Design to Moscow

As the Swiss-based engineering company BMF recently announced, Bartholet Seilbahnen will realize a new project in Moscow. The Stadtbahn (Engl.: city railway), a 703-meter-long cableway including one mid-station, will transport its passengers from the city’s highest point, the Sparrow Hills, to the Olympic stadium. On its way the Stadtbahn will cross Moskwa river and overcome an altitude difference of around 63 meters. Featuring a Porsche design, the gondolas will certainly attract much attention. In addition to the Porsche design gondolas, the second section of the cableway will offer chair seats for up to four persons.

“With the new panorama gondolas designed by Porsche Design Studio a highly modern cableway will be built in Moscow which is expected to cause a sensation all over the world. With regard to the Football World Cup in 2018 and of course afterwards throughout the whole year, we are pleased of being able to offer guests a Swiss first-class product,” representatives of the city of Moscow say. Construction works for the cableway are expected to start on July 1, 2016; the opening is scheduled for late 2016. (eap)
