Bremen’s Public Swimming Pools with New MD
There has recently been a change in management at Bremer Bäder. After just over a year, Bremer Bäder GmbH (BBG) parted ways with managing director Henry Peukert. According to a statement by the Senator for the Interior and Sport, Daniel van Ballegoy (photo) has been appointed interim managing director. The 34-year-old has been responsible for finance and human resources at the operating company since the summer of this year and has now taken over the position on a temporary basis. For reasons of labor law, no details were initially given regarding the specific reasons for Peukert’s departure. The company is fully operational and will continue to reliably push ahead with all upcoming tasks – in particular the completion of the Westbad and the redesign of a swimming pool in Vegesack, according to a statement by Supervisory Board Chairman Olaf Bull. On behalf of the board, he expressed his gratitude to Henry Peukert for his special commitment to the development of the new swimming pool concept. ■
