British Leisure Association BALPPA Ushers in 90th Anniversary Year

Headquartered in London, the British Association of Leisure Parks, Zoos, Piers & Static Attractions represents the interests of owners, managers, suppliers and developers in the UK's leisure & visitor attractions sectors.

(eap) This year, the British leisure association BALPPA (British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions) is celebrating its 90th anniversary. The official anniversary celebrations kicked off this week with the association’s annual dinner, which brought together association members and invited guests at London’s Madame Tussauds visitor attraction. The occasion was duly celebrated during a festive gala evening. This year’s BALPPA Annual General Meeting took place beforehand, at which members were updated on internal association matters and industry-relevant topics. Founded in 1936 and headquartered in the UK capital, the trade association represents the interests of operators of leisure parks, zoos, piers, FECs and static visitor attractions, as well as suppliers to the industry across the United Kingdom.

Also currently taking place in London is EAG Expo 2026 (13-16 January, at the exhibition centre ExCeL London), where interested parties can learn more about the latest developments in entertainment, attractions and gaming. A total of 105 exhibitors from eleven countries are presenting their innovations at the event this year. ■
