Center Parcs Les Landes de Gascogne with 17 New Tree Houses
(eap) With “Les Landes de Gascogne,” the Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs Group opened its latest holiday park on the French market in 2022 (see EAP 4/2022). Located in the pine forests of New Aquitaine in southwestern France, the resort offers the familiar “VIP” and “Comfort” vacation homes, as well as tree houses for guests to stay in, similar to the provider’s other parks. For the first time, a new type of tree house has been implemented in this park (already for the opening of the facility), with large windows that allow guests to experience nature even more closely. And it seems that this alternative form of accommodation is in high demand among guests, as 17 more tree houses have recently been added to the French park.
The contemporary tree houses, completely clad in wood and reminiscent of nests (designer: Jean de Gastines), exude cosiness while offering every comfort: each tree house has a kitchen, a living and sleeping area, and a large private terrace. The tree houses, located near the park entrance, were specially designed for families of four to six and offer between 75 and 91 square meters of space. The operating group invested a total of ten million euros in expanding the accommodation options. ■
