(eap) In April 2025, a new giga cruise liner from the Geneva (Switzerland)-based cruise company MSC Cruises is set to embark on its maiden voyage in the Caribbean. The MSC World America – as the coming new holiday ship will be called – will leave nothing to be desired. In a total of seven thematically organised main areas, passengers will be able to discover a highly varied range of entertainment, relaxation and enjoyment options. Travellers of all age groups will get their money’s worth.

Families can look forward in particular to the “Family Aventura” fun area, which will be located on the top deck of the ship. There, the outdoor park “The Harbor” will feature a high ropes course, a world-first attraction (as announced by MSC) and a playground themed after the lighthouse on MSC’s private Caribbean island of Ocean Cay. In addition, “Doremiland” will be part of Family Aventura, where bumper cars, a roller rink and high-thrill water and dry slides will provide leisure fun. The water slide models that will be installed on the ship include a Raft Slide that can optionally be experienced with VR goggles, a 2-in-1 Racer and a Turbo Slide from Wiegand.Waterrides.

Another main area of the ship will be the promenade with breathtaking views. In terms of attractions, one of the highlights here will be the spiral dry slide (completely mirror-polished, also by Wiegand). Instead of through the mouth of a red snake (as on the sister ship “MSC Europa”), the long slide starts through the maw of a shark – according to the theming. With the “MSC Yacht Club”, guests will have the opportunity to use an exclusive area where they will have 24/7 butler service, exclusive lounges, high-end restaurants and more at their disposal. On the “Aqua Deck”, two large main pools will invite guests to swim and splash around, while the “Zen Area” will be reserved exclusively for adults. The two zones “Galleria” and “The Terraces” complete the main areas on the Ocean Liner, for which various shops, cafés and bars, entertainment facilities such as a comedy club and other additional offers are planned.

The home port of the MSC World America, which will run on LNG, will be Miami/Florida. From there, the ship will set off on seven-night itineraries through the Eastern and Western Caribbean. ■
