Cotaland: Opening Date for New Theme Park Finally Confirmed

The mascots “Buck” and “Checkers” are looking forward to welcoming the first visitors to the park at the end of September.

(eap) After years of uncertainty surrounding the official opening of the new US theme park COTALAND, an opening date has now been set: The amusement park in Austin, Texas, is scheduled to officially open on September 26, 2026. The park is part of the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) motorsports complex and, with a mix of thrill rides, family-friendly attractions and other leisure offerings, is designed to appeal to a broad audience and further develop COTA into a comprehensive entertainment and leisure destination.

More than 30 experiences are set to await visitors. Highlights include “Circuit Breaker”, the first Vekoma Tilt Coaster in Texas and the second of its kind in the US, as well as “Palindrome”, a custom shuttle coaster version of the Infinity Coaster model by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides. A range of additional thrill rides and family-friendly attractions will complement the coaster line-up.

In addition, Cotaland guests can enjoy the offerings of the “Speed City” area, which opened in 2025, with individual experiences – including a miniature golf course and go-kart tracks for adults and children – available for an additional charge. The “Soaring Eagle Zipline” offers guests a bird’s-eye view of the site, while the “Hot Lap” experience provides a ride on the same racetrack used for Formula 1, MotoGP and other motorsports events. A variety of themed F&B offerings will complement the leisure destination.

“Cotaland represents the future of destination entertainment – a place where thrilling attractions, immersive environments, art, dining and hospitality come together to create something truly unique,” said Griffin Tendler, Cotaland’s VP of Marketing. “Our goal is to create a destination where every guest, regardless of age, can find something that inspires excitement, connection and memories that extend beyond the day of the visit.” ■
