Crystal Display Systems Acquires Germany’s Display & Control

(eap) British company Crystal Display Systems Limited (CDS), which specialises in displays, touchscreens and customised monitor solutions, has acquired Munich-based Display & Control (D&C). Through the acquisition, CDS aims to combine the technical expertise and market knowledge of both companies while strengthening its presence and customer support in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Within the leisure industry, CDS is active with display solutions for museums and casinos. For museums and visitor attractions, the company offers technologies for interactive exhibits, digital signage and touchscreen kiosks, as well as display systems for visitor information, galleries and heritage sites. Its solutions can also be integrated into immersive exhibition environments and interactive educational experiences.
On the acquisition of D&C and the stronger presence in the German-speaking regions, Chris Bartram, Managing Director of CDS, comments: “This is a strategically important investment for CDS and creates clear value for customers. D&C has built valuable technical know-how, strong market relationships and an excellent reputation in display control and customised industrial solutions.”
According to the company, CDS intends to work closely with customers, suppliers and partners to support a smooth transition. Norbert Erhart, former Managing Director of Display & Control, stated that the transaction would provide continuity for existing business relationships while also giving customers access to a broader product portfolio and additional resources. ■
