Grandezza currently produces and organizes formats such as “Weihnachtscircus Regensburg”, “Weihnachtscircus Hannover”, the “Kieler Weihnachtsdorf”, “Urbanatix” in Bochum, as well as an initial test run of the Vienna show “Remassuri”, co-developed by André Heller. Two additional productions are in preparation. In the coming weeks, Thomas Schütte, founding partner and long-time managing director, is expected to acquire shares in the company again and return as managing partner.
Detlef Kornett, Group CEO of DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG, comments:
“The sale of Grandezza is another important step in consistently implementing our long-term growth strategy and sustainably promoting the strategic development of DEAG. We would like to thank all employees of Grandezza for their dedicated and successful cooperation over the past years. We wish Prof. Peter Schwenkow continued success and all the best for his future entrepreneurial projects.”
Prof. Peter Schwenkow states: “I am pleased that Thomas Schütte, with whom I have shared a friendship since the mid-1980s, is rejoining the Grandezza Entertainment company he co-founded, and that we will continue to build on the success of our major productions. These include, for example, André Heller’s ‘Chinese National Circus,’ the wonder revue ‘ZauberZauber,’ or the ‘Musikfeste auf dem Lande’ as part of the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival. As founder and long-standing CEO, I will always remain connected to DEAG. The foundation of our success in recent years has always been the development of our own brands and productions, to which we hold all rights. We will now continue to pursue this focus with Grandezza Entertainment.”
With this transaction, DEAG continues its strategic transformation, aiming for a stronger focus on international music and event formats as well as the expansion of its ticketing activities. ■
