Disney Announces Multi-Year Expansion for Disneyland Paris

Following the announcement of Disneyland Paris for a new Marvel-themed attraction to be opened at Walt Disney Studios Park (cp. EAP news f. 12 February 2018), Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company Robert A. Iger today announced plans for a two billion Euro, multi-year expansion plan for Disneyland Paris alongside France’s President Emmanuel Macron at the Palais de l’Élysée in Paris. The plan will include, in the course of a transformation of the Walt Disney Studios Park, the addition of three new theme areas based on Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars, along with several new attractions and live entertainment offers. The multi-year expansion will start in 2021 and be rolled out in several phases.
