Dubai: Emaar Launches First Virtual Reality Park

Die VR-Attraktion „The Raft“ in Dubais neuem VR Park kann von mehreren Spielern gleichzeitig und in Interaktion miteinander genutzt werden.

Emaar Entertainment today launches VR Park, its latest attractions venue in Dubai which is located at The Dubai Mall (cf. EAP news from February 15th, 2018). Situated on level two between Reel Cinemas and KidZania® Dubai, the 7,000 square meter large Virtual Reality park offers a diverse range of experiences: “Burj Drop” simulates a virtual drone flight down the side of Burj Khalifa, resembling a thrilling rollercoaster ride. Another adventure is promised by “Plummet”, which is a virtual skydiving experience. The “Dune Bash Experience” features close encounters with camel spiders, scorpions, snakes and other thrilling creatures.

“The Raft” requires players to grab their VR guns and work together in order to fight against supernatural creeps – a zombie inversion comes alive in “The Walking Dead Outbreak”. Families can enjoy a tour around the world in the “VR Travel Bus”, whilst space explorers can man their own spaceship and navigate a world full of aliens and space stations in “RobocomVR”. Especially designed for kids, the “Geminose: The VR Carousel” features a mystical world full of playful creatures, magic, music and dance.

Technology partners for Dubai’s new VR Park are Sweden’s VR technology provider Starbreeze, the VR companies ARKUB (based in Dubai) Robocom based in Lebanon as well as Virtual Reality Technologies. (eap)
