EAS with a Positive Balance

It has been accomplished ... Of course, one might also say that after the expo is before the expo – while the amusement park industry evaluates the Euro Attractions Show (EAS), the swimming and water park industry is gearing up for the Outdoor Sport Pool Fair [Freiraum-Sport-Bäder-Messe] (FSB) or for the IAAPA Expo in Orlando. The EAS, which took place from 18-20 September in Paris, was the largest IAAPA show by area in Europe and was graded almost unanimously positive by the 393 exhibitors. According to official statements from the event organizer, a total of 8,584 visitors registered, of which 5,813 were counted as buyers. The companies exhibiting were positively surprised by the quite lively walkways in the halls of the Paris expo centre of Porte de Versailles, which felt – in contrast to official figures – like somewhat fewer visitors than at the record expo last year in Berlin. Nevertheless, satisfaction prevailed in particular because of an overall very satisfactory investment and order volume in the international leisure and attractions sector. In the photo gallery of our website you’ll find a few pictures taken at the event. A detailed report from the EAS in Paris can be read in our next issue (EAP 6/2013) in early November.
