Expanding Reach: Fever App Integrated into Google Gemini
(eap) New York City-headquartered technology and ticketing company Fever, which markets live entertainment and leisure experiences and provides organizers with a platform for ticketing and distribution, is now available in the U.S. as a connected app in Gemini, Google’s AI assistant. Through the direct integration, Gemini can access the Fever catalogue and search the events and activities listed there in the context of the respective user query. The actual booking transaction is then completed directly via Fever.
As the digital search for live entertainment and experiences increasingly extends beyond “traditional” browser-based search engines to AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, Fever aims to reach users directly within their conversations with the AI assistant – in this case Gemini – and make it easier for them to discover suitable, curated events. Possible user queries could include: “What music festivals are taking place in New York this summer?” or “Find something fun for me and my five-year-old daughter to do in San Diego this afternoon.” Based on such requests, Gemini searches the Fever catalogue for suitable options and presents the results directly in the user chat.
For organizers and venues using Fever’s ticketing platform, the app integration in Gemini is intended to open up a new channel through which their respective offerings can be discovered quickly, without requiring any additional effort. According to Fever, “AI is a powerful tool for helping people discover the best events in their cities.” The Gemini integration expands the company’s growing ecosystem, which has also included participation in OpenAI’s advertising pilot for certain versions of ChatGPT, as well as its continued presence across Google surfaces such as “Movie Showtimes” and “Things to Do”. Fever also operates its own MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, through which compatible AI assistants and applications can directly access Fever’s event catalogue. In future, the Fever app integration in Gemini is also set to become available in further countries.
Such strategies and investments reflect the ongoing shift in digital visitor acquisition, which is becoming increasingly relevant for leisure facilities of all kinds. One key term in this context is so-called “Generative Engine Optimization” (GEO), which extends traditional search engine optimization by addressing the question of how content and offerings can also become visible in responses generated by AI systems.
