Fire on the Grounds of German Amusement Park FORT FUN

(eap) During the night from Friday to Saturday, there was a fire in a vacant restaurant building in the Looping Group-operated FORT FUN Abenteuerland amusement park in Germany. The “Stüppelhütte” (as the restaurant was called) is located on one of the highest viewing points in the Sauerland region, directly on the park grounds of Fort Fun, but also freely accessible to hikers. The fire led to the complete destruction of the vacant building – fortunately no one was injured. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been clarified, the police has taken up investigations.
The management of Fort Fun Abenteuerland regrets the loss of the historic Stüppelhütte, but is relieved that no one was harmed by the fire. “We would like to thank the emergency services on site for their quick reaction and tireless efforts. We are in close contact with the authorities and will support further investigations,“ explained Managing Director Andreas Sievering. ■
