Florida: “The Point Surf Park” under Construction Now
(eap) Construction recently began on “The Point Surf Park” in the US state of Florida – a project that not only sees the construction of the first surf park in the state, but also the first implementation of “Endless Surf” technology in the USA. The site in Fellsmere on the east coast of Florida is located in the immediate vicinity of the well-known surfing hotspot “Sebastian Inlet” and between the touristy coastal regions of the “Treasure Coast” and “Space Coast”.

The central element of the project is an “ES36” surf lagoon from Endless Surf. The technology is based on a pneumatic wave generation system that is designed to produce waves of up to “overhead high” and – depending on the operating mode – enable wave rides of up to 19 seconds. The heart-shaped lagoon is designed to offer simultaneous use by surfers of different performance levels and a good view for spectators along the course. Behind the project are three entrepreneurs, Luiz De Araujo, Asa Cascavilla and Jack Cook, who have experience in construction and real estate development and want to create a place for surfers that combines sportive challenges and community. Earthworks and initial construction phases are currently underway. The opening is planned for 2026.
“Our vision has always been to create a haven for surfers, by surfers. Partnering with Endless Surf to leverage their next-generation technology to bring Florida’s surf park dreams to life was a no-brainer. We’re so stoked to offer a space where Florida’s surfing community can come together and experience waves like never before,” says Luiz de Araujo, founder of The Point Surf Park.

“Collaborating with Luiz and his surf-centric vision perfectly align with our mission to help create world-class surf experiences. Projects in planning in Florida throughout the last decade have been tough to get off the ground. That said we are beyond thrilled to be working alongside The Point to bring ES waves to a region that is hungry for a surf park. Our ES36 system is designed to cater to surfers of all levels, and we’re confident that this partnership will set a new standard for wave technology and surf parks in the U.S.,” adds Baptiste Caulonque, Chief Commercial Officer at Endless Surf.
With this project, Endless Surf is expanding its international presence – the first commercial facility with this technology worldwide, O₂ SURFTOWN MUC, was opened in Germany in 2024.
