Florida/USA: Jan Sherman Leaves Sally Corporation after 32 Years

AVP/ Creative Director Jan Sherman (le.) retires from the US-based dark ride and animatronics design and manufacturing company Sally Corporation from Jacksonville (FL) after 32 years. John Wood, Chairman and CEO of Sally Corp. comments, “Over the years Jan has been challenged to make hound dog and bear bands come alive, create sound tracks and scripts that melt the hearts of young and old alike, and manage Sally’s ever changing advertising program. She has been a consummate professional who never failed to deliver a quality product on schedule. Jan has traveled to studios in Taiwan, Japan, Canada and most recently China, and spent countless hours in local studios with local talent to produce excellent soundtracks for our figures and rides. Her contributions will certainly be missed and we all wish her the very best in her retirement.” Lauren W. Weaver (ri.), daughter of company founder John Wood, will assume the role of Marketing Director. She joined the company in 2008 and has since taken on the role of digital marketing manager and trade show coordinator (cp. EAP news from 20 June 2013). (eap)
