Former TEA President David Willrich Appointed Chair of Experience UK’s Executive Board

As announced earlier today, former TEA president David Willrich (pictured) has been appointed chair of the executive board of Experience UK, a trade association that exclusively represents the interests of British companies in the entertainment and leisure sector. Willrich follows in the footsteps of Simworx CEO Terry Monkton, who has supported the trade body in this role for the past two years. Willrich, who has worked in the world of visitor attractions for more than 40 years, began his career in 1977 at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, England, where he established and operated the museum’s AV department. In 1986, Willrich established D J Willrich, an audio and multimedia specialist that worked on a number of museum, heritage and attraction projects worldwide. For seven years, Willrich was involved with the European and Middle East Board of TEA (Themed Entertainment Association), serving as its president for the final two years. Willrich was then elected to the association’s International Board, serving as its president from 2016 to 2018.

“I feel very privileged to take on this role at such an exciting time in the sector and thrilled to continue supporting Experience UK and its partners in the accelerated achievement of their goals. I’m looking forward to what we will achieve together,” says David Willrich. (eap)
