France: Disneyland Paris Premieres First Marvel Drone Show Tomorrow

After the successful integration of drone technology in the “Disney D-Light” show, which was premiered in the past season as part of Disneyland Paris’ 30th anniversary celebrations, visitors to the Walt Disney Studios® Park will be able to experience the first MARVEL-themed drone show as of tomorrow. “Avengers: Power the Night” is the name of the new entertainment performance, which follows the recent openings of the Marvel Avengers Campus and will light up the night sky over the park every night through May 8 this year.

The new show combines up to 500 drones, lights and pyrotechnics with energy-efficient video projections. For the musical backdrop, some of Marvel‘s most iconic soundtracks have been re-orchestrated by a symphony orchestra at Abbey Road Studios London. The partner for Avengers: Power the Night is once again Bordeaux-based company Dronisos (now the official technology partner of the French Disney resort), who uses drones designed by Parrot Drones and modifies them for indoor and outdoor shows. Find out what other novelties Disneyland Paris and other European theme parks and attractions will have in store this upcoming new season in our Park Report, to be published in EAP issue 2/2023 (March/April).
