France: Parc du Petit Prince and L’Ecomusée d’Alsace Use Synergy Effects
As of now, the Parc du Petit Prince theme park and the l’Ecomusée d’Alsace open-air museum, both located in the French city of Ungersheim in the Alsace region, intend to benefit from synergy effects. On time with the start of the new season at the end of March, the two sites opened a nature footpath, which connects the theme park and the museum. Visitors have the possibility to either walk the 900-meter way or to ride in a carriage while discovering the varied landscape. Both sites offer a combination ticket enabling guests to visit the park as well as the museum.
The Parc du Petit Prince, which welcomed more than 120,000 visitors last year, features 32 attractions and shows. This year’s novelties include, amongst other attractions, a toddler’s area, kiddie rides, new 3-D movies and a puppet attraction (cf. EAP, issue 2/2016). L’Ecomusée d’Alsace, one of the largest open-air museums in Europe, was founded more than 30 years ago. The museum shows how an Alsatian village looked like at the beginning of the 20th century. In 2015, more than 200,000 guests visited the facility’s 74 buildings and exhibitions. (eap)
