French Amusement Park Opens New Kiddies Attractions

The French amusement park Walygator Parc, located in Lorraine near Metz, opened a new kids train for the current season. Named “WalyXpress”, the colorful new train supplied by SBF Visa is located in a newly created children’s zone together with three new inflatable attractions. Three new park shows, “Glamour Magic Show”, “Splish Splash” and “Cirque de Waly” are also available during the current season. Last year, the park welcomed 491,000 visitors. For the current season the operators, Claude and Didier Le Douarin, hope to attract at least 550,000 visitors. The French park was initially founded in 1989 as “Parc Big Bang Schtroumpf”, later renamed “Walibi Schtroumpf” and “Walibi Lorraine”. In 2007 the amusement park was taken over by its current operators. (eap)
