German Access Control System Provider ECS Under New Leadership
(eap) German cash register and access control system provider ECS – Emmeln Control Systems, a subsidiary of Metallbau Emmeln GmbH – is making changes to its management structure: Christopher Lake (pictured here), an experienced software architect, has taken over the technical management of the business unit.
For more than 35 years, ECS has been developing solutions for leisure facilities such as theme parks, leisure pool complexes, zoos and museums. Its portfolio includes, among other things, the “TicketControl” software for flexible tariff design as well as integrated systems comprising ticket vending machines, access readers and mechanical access solutions. Christopher Lake, who previously worked on software projects for companies including BMW Group, MAN and ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, is now expected to contribute his experience to the further development of ECS’s existing ticketing and access systems. “My aspiration is to think of software not only in functional terms, but also in a structured, maintainable and long-term viable way,” says the new business unit manager.
“With Christopher Lake, we are further expanding our ECS division. Our goal is to continue developing our solutions together as a team and to position them in a technologically future-proof way,” explains Frank Suelmann, Managing Director of Metallbau Emmeln. The close connection between mechanical and digital expertise within the company is also expected to play an important role in this. ■
