Germany: “Fire & Ice Tower“ – Second Attraction for New “LEGO MYTHICA” Themed Area at LEGOLAND Deutschland Unveiled

With “LEGO® MYTHICA”, a new themed world for LEGOLAND® Deutschland has been announced for 2023, with an investment volume of 15 million euros. The main attraction of the new area, which will cover a total of 1.2 hectares, will be a wing coaster from B&M, the construction of which is now almost complete. The entrance portal of the new area, the “LEGO MYTHICA Portal”, is also slowly taking shape. Now the second ride for the new themed area has been announced – two family drop towers named “Fire & Ice Towers”, which are also suitable for smaller park guests. These will be supplied by Zierer Rides headquartered in Bavaria. The two orange-blue towers rise thirteen meters into the air, and their fire & ice design with flames at the top of the tower structures is intended to visually evoke the resurrection of a phoenix from the ashes. With a ride height of nine meters, guests experience several drops in free fall while the gondolas simultaneously rotate around the towers.

“With the combination of a spectacular roller coaster and the colorful towers, we are staying true to our LEGOLAND motto – fun for the whole family. While the wing coaster is approved for brave people from primary school age and a body height of 1.20 m, the smaller visitors from one meter experience action and ride fun in the Fire & Ice Towers,” LEGOLAND Deutschland Managing Director Manuela Stone describes the park expansion for the coming year. The season opening at LEGOLAND Deutschland, which like the other Legoland parks belongs to Britain’s Merlin Entertainments group, is scheduled for 25 March 2023. (eap)
