Germany: Bavaria Filmstadt Welcomes Back Visitors as of Today

While other theme parks in Bavaria still have to remain closed, Bavaria Filmstadt can welcome guests back as of today and guide them through the world of television and film productions. Among the novelties for the 2021 season is the palace set from the fantasy cinema movie “The Magic Flute” – a remake of the well-known Mozart opera by director Florian Sigl and producers Christoph Zwickler, Fabian Wolfart and Roland Emmerich – which is scheduled to come into the cinemas in 2022.

During the guided tours, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the 100-year-old history of the Filmstadt, from the first silent films to science fiction productions. Guests can also look forward to a new animated film experience in the 4D cinema with “Mogli's Jungle Adventure”. Visitors need to purchase their online ticket in advance and also need a negative quick test, which can be taken directly at a specially set up testing station, to enter the grounds. (eap)
