Germany: New “Kibongo” Theme World Opens at the Hannover Adventure Zoo

The Hannover Adventure Zoo celebrated the opening of its latest theme world “Kibongo” on 27 September. The new chimpanzee themed area was created in a 2,100 square metre space. An African moist savannah with cliffs and trees to climb, a waterfall, stream, shady areas, sand pit and relaxation zones was created here. This new enclosure and home for seven chimpanzees, which covers an area of over 700 square metres, was realized in just seven months of construction. (eap)
