Germany: Talocan at Phantasialand Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Germany: Talocan at Phantasialand Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Today, ten years ago, Germany’s Phantasialand opened its Suspended TopSpin “Talocan” in its “Mexico” themed area, immersing guests into the shady temple world of Tlaloc, the Aztecs’ God of rain and lightning (c.f. our cover story in EAP, 4/07).

The elaborate and detailed theming of the Huss Rides attraction, which includes special effects such as fire, water fountains and fog, is still setting standards today. For this quality ride, Phantasialand has received several industry awards, e.g. the 2007 “FKF Award” from the German association Freundeskreis Kirmes und Freizeitparks e.V. (FKF). This year, Phantasialand is also celebrating its 50th anniversary. (eap)
