Grand Opening Ceremony for Center Parcs Nordborg

Olivier Garaialde, CEO of Center Parcs Europe, is welcoming special guests during yesterday's great opening ceremony at Center Parcs Nordborg.

(eap) The first holiday park of the Center Parcs (CP) group in Scandinavia – Center Parcs Nordborg – located on the Danish island of Als, celebrated its grand opening yesterday in the presence of numerous guests of honour. Today and tomorrow, the park’s employees will have the opportunity to thoroughly test the wide range of leisure activities together with their families, before the facility officially welcomes its first holiday guests this coming Friday.

“A great day for Center Parcs. The family has grown. This is the result of a shared vision and an extraordinary journey that culminates in the opening of this beautiful resort. Nordborg Resort is a special place – not least because of the stunning surrounding nature. It is our first park in Denmark, the gateway to Scandinavia, and we look forward to welcoming all of Europe to this unique location,” said Olivier Garaialde, CEO of Center Parcs Europe.

As in the many existing Center Parcs resorts, Nordborg also features a central Market Place with restaurants and cafés, along with various activity offerings for the whole family. An “Aqua Mundo” – the tropically themed CP water park, equipped in Nordborg with water slides and attractions by Aquarena, as well as a large water play tower and several interactive spray devices by wiegand.waterrides – is, of course, also available to guests.

The modern holiday park comprises around 440 holiday homes – with approximately 450,000 overnight stays expected per year. In addition, the destination anticipates around 25,000 day visitors annually.
