Hard Rock Cafe to Open at PortAventura World
(eap) The Spanish theme park resort PortAventura World has announced an agreement with the well-known hospitality and entertainment brand Hard Rock International to open a Hard Rock Cafe at the entrance of PortAventura Park.
With a capacity of approximately 430 guests, the new restaurant has been designed to appeal equally to families, young adults, couples and music enthusiasts. The menu is set to feature typical Hard Rock Cafe classics such as burgers, ribs, sandwiches and salads, as well as various vegetarian options. In addition, live music and the brand’s well-known décor, which includes authentic memorabilia from some of the most influential artists in music history, are set to shape the atmosphere. The venue will also include a “Rock Shop” offering exclusive merchandise items developed in collaboration with PortAventura World.
The restaurant is scheduled to open as early as this summer and will also be accessible to visitors without requiring an admission ticket for the parks or a hotel booking. Hard Rock Cafe PortAventura will not only be the first in the Spanish province of Tarragona, but also the first in a European theme park resort. Internationally, Hard Rock Cafes in theme park settings can already be found, for example, at Universal CityWalk Osaka, adjacent to Universal Studios Japan, as well as at Universal CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. The Orlando location is described as the largest Hard Rock Cafe in the world. ■
