Immersium:Wien Launches "Titanic" Dining Experience
(eap) Vienna’s Immersium:Wien has expanded its offering with another immersive dinner format: Since April 10 – the 144th anniversary of the maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic – “Titanic – Voyage of Moments” has been presented there. The new program, which lasts around two hours, combines fine dining with 360-degree projections and specially composed music, aiming to immerse guests in the story world of the historic ocean liner.
In a total of five acts, the story of the Titanic is retold – from its departure in Southampton and life on board to the night of the disaster in the North Atlantic. Each dinner guest accompanies a real person who was on board in 1912 – with their thoughts, dreams and life journeys. Visually, the experience ranges from the outer deck and the opulent first-class dining room to the engine room and the Grand Ballroom, all the way to the silent vastness of the ocean. An emotional epilogue is intended to honor the fates of the passengers.
The accompanying six-course menu is based on the historical sequence of dishes served on the Titanic and reinterprets them in a modern way. The musical implementation is carried out through specially produced compositions performed by artists such as Maya Hakvoort, Laura Bilgeri, Sara De Blue, Eric Papilaya and Dave Kaufmann.
With “Titanic – Voyage of Moments”, Immersium:Wien is already presenting its third dinner program following “Sherly’s Criminal Dinner” and “In 80 minutes around the world”. “But it is more than a dinner. It is a journey through time, a holistic experience and a tribute to human stories between hope, courage and transience. An evening for those interested in history, experience enthusiasts and anyone seeking special moments,” emphasizes Markus Beyr, CEO of Immersium:Wien. ■
