International Honour for Le Puy du Fou

On March 17, 2012, Le Puy du Fou has been awarded the “Thea Classic Award” in Anaheim, California at the Thea Awards 2012. The Grand Parc Le Puy du Fou, the theme park in Les Epesses, in the West of France, offers its guests an entertaining trip through history within its five historic theme areas (we reported on this in EAP 6/2008). With attendance figures of around 1.5 million visitors annually, Puy du Fou is equally successful as Parc Astérix in Plailly, north of Paris. Parc Astérix has been considered as the number two among French theme parks behind Disneyland Paris so far. It is the first time that a French theme park has been awarded this renowned prize. The operators of the historic theme park are very proud of the award, given the fact that they receive this internationally renowned award just in the same year the park celebrates its 35th anniversary. The creativity and the quality of the park and its shows, the convincing performances of its actors as well as its exceptional music and the excellent design and theming of the whole facility have been highlighted by the jury.
