(eap) Germany’s Irrland theme park in Kevelaer, located in the Lower Rhine region, has expanded its line-up of attractions just in time for the summer season with the addition of a new water slide installation. Visitors can now enjoy a dual body slide from manufacturer Wiegand.Waterrides. The two parallel stainless-steel slides measure approximately 88 metres in length and feature a start height of around eleven metres. An integrated timing system enables guests to race against each other and set personal bests – an additional incentive to slide again and again.

Design work is currently ongoing to visually integrate the water slide into the existing theme. For instance, the supporting columns are being enclosed with stone elements to conceal the technical structure and ensure a seamless visual transition into the Roman setting. ■
