Java/Indonesia: Tubby Slides Worldwide in Demand

In Badung, on the Isand of Java, the amusement park called Kampung Gajah recently installed four of the well-known “Tubby” slides from Neveplast. Three straight slopes are 85 meter long each and were built, for the first time, with a width of three meters instead of the standard size of two meters. The new system is suitable for the sliding of several tubes in tandem while reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h. The fourth slope has a length of 90 meters and features two parabolic turns.
A second project was realized by Neveplast in Italy in the amusement park of Oltremare in Riccione. Two Tubby slides with a length of 60 each were installed here. The Italian company projected a special system for the uphill transportation of the tubes at facilities that aren’t provided with a conveyor belt. The new system is to optimize both the performances of the slopes as well as the duration of the facility. (eap)
