Ketteler Hof an Inspiration for a New Amusement Park?

Thomas Glisin operates the “Bobbolino” indoor play complex in the city of Rath near Dusseldorf, Germany. Now Glisin has his sights set on the disused property of Neurath’s wave pool, where he plans to build a play park based on the highly successful example set by Ketteler Hof in Haltern, Germany. The site would then include slides, climbing facilities, cable cars and water play features. The local administration has already given the green light, so as soon as the preliminary agreements have been completed for the 30,000 square meter facility, Glisin is looking to get down to brass tacks on the project. The required investment sum is estimated at some 1.5 million Euros. Expansion of the park site at a later date to 50,000 square meters also appears to be possible. (eap)
