LEGOLAND Deutschland Appoints Andreas Braun as Director HSS

(eap) LEGOLAND^® Deutschland Resort in Günzburg, Bavaria, has appointed a new Director for Health, Safety & Security: since this spring, Andreas Braun and his team have been responsible for the safety of the resort’s more than two million annual guests and up to 2,000 employees. A trained energy systems engineer and experienced manager with many years of service at the industrial company BOS AG, Braun has recently made the move into the theme park industry.

“I have experienced over many years how important clear procedures, prevention and composure in demanding situations are. At LEGOLAND, Health, Safety & Security is a central task. That is exactly what appealed to me about this position,” says Braun, who is from the region and is also actively involved as a member of the fire brigade.

Manuela Stone, Managing Director of LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort, welcomes Braun to the team: “Safety is a key aspect for us in every area of our resort: whether at the attractions, in the Holiday Village, at events, within the teams or in guest contact. With Andreas Braun, we have gained a manager who brings professional experience, composure and a strong sense of responsibility to this important area. It is precisely this combination of technical understanding, management experience and close ties to the region that is crucial for his role.”

Braun’s area of responsibility includes more than 60 attractions and thousands of models made from more than 58 million LEGO^® bricks, 25 restaurants, nine shops, numerous daily shows, events, back-of-house areas, the LEGOLAND Holiday Village with its themed accommodation options for more than 3,000 guests and the directly adjacent PEPPA PIG Park Guenzburg. ■
