(eap) Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences have announced a partnership to bring the world’s first “Wizarding World™” in LEGO® format to life. A “magical” new land and a “Harry Potter”-themed accommodation are set to be created at Germany’s LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort.

“We are very pleased that the partnership between Merlin and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences is beginning here in Germany. Since the opening of the Legoland Deutschland Resort more than 20 years ago, we have been creating happy moments for families – also in cooperation with other leading brands. We are now raising the bar even higher by creating a magical new land that brings the Wizarding World to life in the form of Lego bricks. This step confirms the continuous development of our resort into a world-class destination,” comments Manuela Stone, General Manager of the Legoland Deutschland Resort.

She continues: “The Lego Harry Potter area and the world’s first Harry Potter accommodation represent Merlin’s largest single investment to date in an existing location. This underscores the great importance of the Legoland Deutschland Resort when it comes to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. I am incredibly excited to see how our brilliant creative teams bring this magical new themed area to life. It will captivate fans with immersive adventures and well-known characters.”

“Working alongside Merlin Entertainments and the Lego Group over the years has always led to unforgettable and unique experiences for fans and we are thrilled to extend the partnership with one of our most beloved franchises. We are always looking for new ways for the millions of Harry Potter fans around the world to extend the magic and further connect with the iconic films. This new destination will allow fans to step into in the familiar Lego Harry Potter aesthetic they have been constructing for years and physically experience the wizarding world like never before,” says Peter van Roden, Executive Vice President Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences.

Details of the plans are expected to be announced over the course of the coming year. ■
