Mattel Play! Sevenum Brings Iconic Children Brands to the Netherlands

Following the opening of a Mattel Play! family entertainment center in Liverpool in the spring of 2016 (cp. EAP 3/16) and a few months later in Dubai (cp. EAP 3/17, to be published in early May), the American toy manufacturer will bring a new, interactive indoor center to the Netherlands later this year. Mattel Play! Sevenum will be the first branded attraction of its kind in the Netherlands and Benelux.
The 2,000 square meter large facility will be part of the new „Family Entertainment Center Sevenum“, which is currently being built on the site of the vacation park De Schatberg in the Dutch region of North Limburg. Children will be able to explore different themed areas featuring popular TV characters, including “Thomas & Friends™“, “Bob the Builder™“ and “Fireman Sam™“. As in Liverpool, Lappset Creative, a special division of Lappset Group for the design and supply of themed attractions founded in 2010, has designed and planned the entire facility and will be responsible for the supply and installtion as well. The opening of Mattel Play! Sevenum is scheduled for autumn 2017.
Besides Mattel Play Sevenum, the new FEC will also host an all you can eat restaurant as well as an activity park, offering activities such as a skating ramp, trampolines and a freestyle action park. The activity park is developed by Lappset Creative in collaboration with the owners. (eap)
