Movie Park Germany Expands Halloween Event with New Experiences
(eap) Movie Park Germany has announced two new horror attractions and an expansion of the “Hillbilly Town” zone for the 27th edition of its “Halloween Horror Festival”. With this, the park is offering a total of nine horror experiences for the first time, including the “Ahoj-Brause Horror Lab”, which, according to the park, marks the first horror brand experience in a German amusement park.
In addition to more than 280 monsters and four scare zones, the program again features various shows and DJ acts this year. Illusionist Christian Farla will present the updated show “Unhallowed 2 – The Freak Show Straight Out of Hell” at “Studio 7”. Live music and a newly designed food zone at the “Baboo Twister Express Plaza” will further enhance the festival atmosphere.
“The Halloween Horror Festival once again shows its darkest side this year, and we are making new nightmares come true,” said Managing Director Thorsten Backhaus. “More horror experiences and more festival atmosphere await our guests – giving Halloween an even bigger stage.”
The new horror maze “Blood Moon Trailer Park” is being created on 900 square meters behind the freefall tower “The High Fall” and will expand the Hillbilly Town theme zone. Movie Park marketing & sales director and Halloween project manager Manuel Prossotowicz explained: “Since its re-theming two years ago, the scare zone has gained significant popularity. As we always focus strongly on guest demand, this year we are not only creating a new, thematically fitting horror maze in ‘Hillbilly Town’, but also expanding the area with some additional details.”
More than 4,000 litres of fake blood, 3,500 litres of fog fluid, 4 tonnes of pumpkins, 600 bales of straw and 6,500 corn stalks are used at the Halloween Horror Festival. The festival will take place on 22 event days between September 27 and November 9, 2025, under the motto “Your Bloodiest Vacation Ever”. Movie Park itself describes the Halloween event as its ‘second peak season’ with visitors reaching up to 20,000 guests per day. ■
