(eap) The internationally represented experience museum franchise Museum of Illusions has recently opened its first location in New Orleans (Louisiana, USA). It can be found in the city’s French Quarter, housed in the historic building of the former Jackson Brewing Company. Spanning over 9,000 square feet (more than 800 square meters), Museum of Illusions – New Orleans showcases over 80 immersive exhibits and rooms featuring optical illusions designed to captivate visitors through light, reflection, and perspective. Each installation provides an explanation of the scientific and perceptual principles behind the illusion.
The concept of Museum of Illusions originated in 2015 in Zagreb, Croatia, and has since expanded to more than sixty locations worldwide, including New York, Las Vegas, Dubai, Paris, Madrid, and Manchester. The attraction aims to combine education and entertainment equally by offering a hands-on, family-oriented approach to visual phenomena. Also, the various rooms animate visitors to take photos and capture their memories.
“Each installation invites guests to experience the unexpected – where what you see often isn’t what it seems. We encourage visitors to fully engage with the exhibits, explore, and capture the fun through photos,“ emphasizes Kim Schaefer, CEO of Museum of Illusions. ■
