(eap) Since the beginning of this month, young visitors to the British theme park resort Chessington World of Adventures have been able to immerse themselves in the world of the four-legged heroes from the well-known animated series “PAW Patrol”. The 1.4-acre (more than 5,600-square-metre) “World of PAW Patrol” offers a total of four rides, each themed around one of the series’ characters, as well as a playground. A total of around GBP 15 million (approx. EUR 17 million) has been invested in the new family-friendly themed area.

Visitors with a minimum height of 90 centimetres can board “Chase’s Mountain Mission” – a Zierer “Force 160” roller coaster themed around police dog Chase. In keeping with the theme, passengers take their seats in his police truck. On “Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure”, the first “Drifter” attraction in the United Kingdom (also by Zierer), guests become Zuma’s co-pilots and board a hovercraft for a “water mission”.
In addition, two Zamperla attractions have been integrated into the area: On “Skye’s Helicopter Heroes”, a tower ride, guests join Skye on a rescue mission high up in the air. “Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue”, a Crazy Bus, is themed as Marshall’s fire engine and is also aimed at younger visitors.

The area is complemented by character meet-and-greets as well as themed F&B and retail options. Those who wish to immerse themselves even further in the world of PAW Patrol after their park visit can also stay overnight in suitably themed hotel rooms. ■
