(eap) The British design studio Katapult receives the IP rights from the American company Cloudco Entertainment (formerly American Greetings Entertainment) to bring a new Care Bears attraction concept to the market. Cloudco Entertainment holds the rights to various children’s entertainment brands such as Care Bears™, Holly Hobbie™ and Madballs™. The new concept for FECs is a play cafe with various colourful themed areas and attractions themed in the style of the popular IP alongside Care Bears treats.

“The new family entertainment centre concept has been designed to create a memorable, fun, and heartfelt experience where guests can indulge in the most delicious sweet treats. As fans of Care Bears ourselves, we are excited to take this concept to market to interested operators, investors, and real estate owners around the world,” says Katapult’s CCO Phil Higgins.

“We’re delighted to have worked with Katapult to create this ready-to-go family entertainment centre concept, bringing the heartwarming world of Care Bears to life in an immersive and enchanting experience for fans of all ages,” adds Charlotte Payne, Cloudco Entertainment’s International Licensing Director.

The success of Care Bears attractions has been particularly evident in Asian countries in recent years. Play cafe concepts are flourishing in Seoul (South Korea) and Bangkok (Thailand). The Baskin & Robbins branch in Seoul with its Care Bears theme is said to be the number one among the 1,800 branches in South Korea. Falcon’s Creative Group and Sally Dark Rides have also recently partnered with CloudCo Entertainment to develop new Care Bears entertainment and attraction concepts. ■
