New Entertainment Offers with Pelle Svanslös on the Ship Birka Gotland

(eap) From June 14, the Baltic cruise ship Birka Gotland will be offering some fresh entertainment for families with children: The focus will be on the popular Swedish children’s book characters “Pelle Svanslös” and “Maja Gräddnos”. In future, young guests will have the opportunity to meet the beloved characters on board. The offer includes a treasure hunt, the play world “Pelle’s Play Alley” and a pop-up store with themed merchandise. With “Pelle’s Superarmband”, children also get free drinks and a Pelle Svanslös ice cream, and the buffet restaurant “Sjösalen” serves the children’s book characters’ favorite dishes.
“The fact that Pelle Svanslös is now allowed to sail on the Baltic Sea feels just right. He is a beloved character who has taught children for generations to be brave, to stand up for what is right and to be curious about the world around them. These values are perfect for little adventurers at sea and we are proud to take Pelle on new adventures together with Birka Gotland,” said Mattias Banker, CEO of Sagogränd, – rights owner of the Pelle Svanslös brand – and co-owner of Parks and Resorts Scandinavia.

The cruise ship’s routes during the Swedish summer vacation include Mariehamn, Visby, the High Coast and Bornholm. The entertainment on offer with Pelle Svanslös is adapted to the length and type of cruise.
By the way, the Swedish theme park Furuvik is also all about Pelle Svanslös this season: “Pelles Lekäventyr”, a new themed playground, awaits visitors there. This includes a large play structure with climbing and slide elements, various interactive mini-games and a stage for the new show “Pelle Svanslös och Miljödagen”. The offer is rounded off by a hot dog food stand. ■
